On 5 November 2025, Phenikaa University had the honour of hosting the Vietnam Cybersecurity Day Celebration and the Final Round of the Cyber Security Student Contest (CSCV 2025). The event, held at Phenikaa University, served as a national-scale forum that brought together experts, policymakers, enterprises, and thousands of students in the fields of information technology, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
With the spirit of “Innovative University – Responsible Digital Citizens – A Safe Society”, Phenikaa University reaffirmed its role in cybersecurity education, aligning training with real-world practice and aiming to cultivate a generation of digital citizens who are knowledgeable, resilient, and responsible toward their communities.
The programme was co-organised by the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA), under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training, with the collaboration of numerous universities, enterprises, and specialised organisations across Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
Cybersecurity: A Responsibility for Citizens in the Digital Age
Delivering opening remarks at the panel discussion “Cybersecurity in the Digital Era and the Role of Universities in Raising Awareness and Skills for Students”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Văn Trường – Deputy Director of Phenikaa University – emphasised:
“Cybersecurity is not merely a technological issue; it is also a matter of civic responsibility. Every student must be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become a responsible technology user—for themselves and for society.”

According to him, fostering a culture of information security within the educational environment is the foundation for developing digital citizens who possess knowledge, ethics, and the ability to protect themselves in an increasingly interconnected world.
This direction aligns closely with the National Cybersecurity Strategy to 2030, which emphasises the pivotal role of universities in developing high-quality cybersecurity human resources. With this vision, Phenikaa University is demonstrating that the model of “Innovative University – Responsible Digital Citizens – A Safe Society” is entirely feasible in Vietnam.
Phenikaa Students Ready for the Digital Arena
The spirit of learning through real-world application was clearly reflected in the outstanding achievements of Phenikaa students at the Cyber Security Student Contest 2025. Two teams from the Phenikaa School of Information Technology proudly advanced to the national finals.
- Team PNK.TheFuture earned a place among the top 20 teams—representing 20 leading cybersecurity-training institutions nationwide—qualifying for the Attack–Defence competition format.
- Team PNK.RecycleBin was selected to compete in the CTF Jeopardy format, as one of 57 teams from 57 universities across Vietnam and the ASEAN region, chosen from a pool of 327 teams in the online preliminary round.
These achievements highlight the readiness, capability, and determination of Phenikaa students as they step confidently into the digital competition arena.

The national final round will take place on 15 November 2025 at the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05 – Ministry of Public Security), where teams will compete in realistic simulation challenges, showcasing their adaptability, technological skills, and digital resilience. The achievements of Phenikaa students are not only academic results but also evidence of a training model strongly connected to practice and aligned with international standards.
Beyond their high rankings, Phenikaa teams have also attracted invitations from enterprises and specialised organisations for research collaboration, internships, and employment opportunities, opening doors to real-world professional environments and further spreading the spirit of the “Phenikaa Cybersecurity Warriors.”
UNITOUR 2025: Inspiring Cybersecurity Awareness Among the Youth
Ahead of the final round, UNITOUR 2025, organised by the National Cybersecurity Association in collaboration with universities nationwide, generated a strong ripple effect in the student community. At Phenikaa University, thousands of students participated in hands-on activities, networking sessions, and expert interactions to deepen their understanding of personal data protection, online fraud prevention, and civilised digital behaviour.
The Phenikaa School of Information Technology served as a co-organiser of UNITOUR 2025, contributing to the creation of a campus cybersecurity forum where students can learn, be challenged, and develop a deeper awareness of their role as digital citizens.

At the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Triệu Mạnh Tùng, representing the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05, Ministry of Public Security), affirmed:
“Cybersecurity workforce training is a national strategic mission requiring close coordination between the State, universities, and enterprises. Only through joint efforts can Vietnam build a cybersecurity landscape that is safe, proactive, and sustainable.”

From hours spent in security laboratories to competing on national cyber stages, Phenikaa students are demonstrating the strength, knowledge, and resilience of Vietnamese youth in the digital era.
