This project will be implemented within three years, lasting from January 2022 to March 2024. The total funding of the project is more than 100,000 pounds. Four universities: University of East Anglia, Phenikaa University, University of Da Nang - Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City are the beneficiaries.
After 3 years of implementation, the Project has developed methods to improve students’ abilities to meet recruitment needs of enterprises in the digital era, implementing 6 subjects in 3 schools to 2,000 students; Along with that, in the next 2 years, 6,000 students will be beneficiaries.
In addition, students from schools in the Project are equipped with tools to improve skills through online courses. Student representatives from schools also presented in the UK about applying methods from the University of East Anglia to their projects.
Student Bui Dai Duong, representing a group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology, Phenikaa University, presented at the Workshop about the Smart Speaker Project - the results of applying knowledge and skills acquired from Project activities. The presentation also introduced activities of Phenikaa University students such as Google Developer Student Club - an effective platform to practice collaboration and soft skills. The presentation was brief but impressed the delegates on how the team successfully implemented the project and highlighted the value of extracurricular activities in developing comprehensive skills for students of Phenikaa University.
Through the Project, the academic research network between the two countries has expanded, starting to spark ideas for deeper cooperation, up to now, have come to specific common ideas and plans for cooperation in areas including: climate change, health science and artificial intelligence applications.
GGPVN2.4 project funded by the British Council, chaired by Phenikaa University and implemented with University of Danang - Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), University of Industry of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and the University of East Anglia (UEA, UK) within the framework of the UK-Vietnam Global Partnership program to improve the quality and promote the internationalization of higher education.
