Dr. Nguyen Van Hung is a Lecturer and Deputy Head of the Quality Assurance Office at Phenikaa University, with extensive academic and industry experience in petroleum engineering, deep drilling, and rock mechanics. Before joining Phenikaa in 2022, he held academic leadership positions at PetroVietnam University, including Dean, Chair of Department, and Vice-Dean.

His international career includes research and training roles at institutions such as École des Mines ParisTech, Total Company, JX Nippon, and Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry. Dr. Hung’s research contributions have been published in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering and focus on reservoir petrophysics, drilling platforms, and oil recovery strategies. He has also delivered professional short courses for Vietnam’s petroleum industry and reviewed for leading journals.

Dr. Hung has successfully led several engineering programs to achieve ABET accreditation and has actively shared expertise on international accreditation frameworks such as ABET, FIBAA, and ACBSP with universities and accreditation professionals across Vietnam.
