Dr. Doan Trung Son is a seasoned academic and cybersecurity expert currently serving as a lecturer and researcher at Phenikaa University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Hagen University, Germany, following doctoral research at Dresden University. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Information Technology from the People’s Security Academy, followed by an M.Sc. from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Before joining Phenikaa University in 2022, Dr. Son held a long-standing academic post at the People’s Security Academy, where he contributed significantly to research and instruction in computing and security. He is also the founder and director of CareViet Ltd., demonstrating his entrepreneurial initiative in the tech industry.

Dr. Son’s research interests span information security, trust in online social networks, and AI-based detection systems. He is an active member of multiple international conference committees and has served as a reviewer for esteemed journals and conferences. At Phenikaa University, he leads the Information Security Club, guiding students in research and competition.

He is a recognized contributor to the computing discipline with numerous conference papers and ongoing participation in scholarly communities such as the Vietnam Information Security Association and the national Cybersecurity Emergency Response Team.
